Thanks for volunteering with VBS this year! As a volunteer this page will provide you with the resources you’ll need for serving with us. Please read this – and all volunteer emails – thoroughly!

6/10 @ 9 am to Noon – VBS Decoration Creation Day
6/17 @ 9 am to Noon – VBS Decoration Day
6/22 @ 6 pm to 8 pm – Decoration Night
6/24 @ 9 am to Noon – Mandatory Volunteer Meeting, Decoration, Prep & Rehearsals
6/25 after Worship – Prayer Meeting
6/26 – 6/30 is the Week of VBS
6/28 @ 12:30 pm Pizza lunch for all volunteers
6/30 – Clean up after VBS ends (for all volunteers)
6/30 @ 5 pm arrive for VBS Closing Program & BBQ
Important information for the week of VBS:
- Parking at VBS – Please park along the road or in the parking lot near Ventana. DO NOT park near our back yard as we use that for recreation.
- Stop at the volunteer registration table every day – for nametags and important communication.
- Monday – Please arrive no later than 8 am if you are volunteering. Registration should arrive no later than 7:45 am so you can register our volunteers’ children. We will have supervision for them. Teachers and assistants – please arrive in your classroom by 8:30 am. Registration for participants begins at 8:35 am.
- Tuesday – It is anticipated that arrival will be 8 am for registration, 8:15 am for volunteers, and 8:45 for participants. Times will be confirmed at our meeting when VBS ends on Monday.
- Daily Meetings – Volunteers will have a brief meeting each day after VBS ends. Please plan on staying for this.
- Wednesday Volunteer Lunch – Sign up on the Volunteer Table so we know how much pizza to order. This is a fun time to share how the week is going!
- Friday – Please plan on staying for clean up after VBS ends.
- Return of all volunteer curriculum and materials – Please return all your materials on Friday! We do keep them for future use.
- Friday – Please plan on staying for clean up after VBS ends. Instructions will be provided.
- Friday – Please return no later than 5 pm for set up! Those participating in the closing program should be in the sanctuary by 5:45 pm. Others should welcome guests and help in the kitchen. The program will start at 6 pm sharp (hopefully) bollowed by our BBQ, water slide and more.

VBS BBQ—Everyone is invited to our VBS Closing Ceremony & Church Wide Barbeque!
Because we host our guests from VBS, we ask you to sign up to bring food! The church provides hamburgers and hotdogs w/rolls, cheese & condiments; Italian ice; potato salad & coleslaw; and beverages. Ideas for what to bring include side dishes and salads, other pre-cooked meat or vegetable dishes, desserts, fruits & vegetables. You won’t want to miss the fun!

Registration for volunteers — All volunteers need to register.
Registration for your children to attend VBS. Please do this ASAP! Deadline: 6/11/23.
Registration for nursery (infant – age 3) is available for volunteers only.
Tax-exempt form — If you are purchasing pre-approved items for VBS yourself please use our tax-exempt form so we do not pay taxes. An alternative is to send the link to the church office and we can place the order for you.
Reimbursement Forms — If you are purchasing pre-approved items for VBS and need reimbursement, please download the form HERE, or find copies in the kitchen or in the church office. Once completed please attach your receipt and give it to the administrator in the church office.
