Pastor David grew up across the river in Yardley, Pennsylvania and as a high school student spent many an hour in Princeton working on a public affairs radio show on WPST. After attending Ithaca College for a Communications degree, David began working at WABC radio producing various talk shows and NY Jets radio broadcasts. After a brief stint at the ABC Radio Networks, he moved over to the television side and worked in the Entertainment Division of ABC for 6 years.

It was during this period that David was invited to Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York, and the Spirit moved him to receive Christ as Lord and Savior in the autumn of 1994. He left broadcasting in 1997 to attend Westminster Theological Seminary in the Master of Divinity/Counseling program. David previously served out-of-bounds as Pastor of Congregational Care at Stone Hill Church in Princeton, and came to Hope Presbyterian in the fall of 2006.
