Bob was born and raised in Allentown, New Jersey. He was brought up in the Catholic Church, but joined the Presbyterian Church in 1957, the year he and his late wife , Peggy, were married. Bob & Peggy have two daughters, Brenda and Ramona, and four grandchildren.
Before coming to Hope Presbyterian Church, Bob was involved with youth fellowship, helped to write several procedures for church operation, and was a Deacon and Moderator of Deacons at a local Presbyterian Church.
Bob is retired after 30 years of service at IBM Corp. as a contracts administrator. Bob & his late wife Peggy joined Hope Presbyterian Church in 2012. Their daughter, Brenda Lippincott and family, are also members of Hope while their daughter, Ramona and family, live in Finland.
